SONORA, TX -- The no. 11-ranked Wall Hawks stayed red-hot with a 62-28 rout of the Sonora Broncos on Tuesday.
Senior guard Colton Chitsey followed his 34-point performance on Friday with another double digit scoring night.
Chitsey and Zack Dusek helped Wall to a 13-4 lead after the first with five points each. Both had two three-pointers in the quarter. Baylor Halfmann had the third.
Chitsey kept his scoring ways in the third quarter with another six points, including another three-pointer, as Wall extended their lead to 31-12 at halftime.
Wall stayed with Chitsey's hot hand and it payed off for eight of their 15 points in the third. The Hawks grew their lead to 46-18 heading into the fourth quarter.
Halfmann took over the show in the final quarter with a pair of threes. Preston Gonzales helped Sonora to their best quarter with five of their 10 fourth quarter points.
Chitsey finished the game with a game-high 19 points. Dusek was the only other Hawk in double figures with 11 points.
Thanks to a pair of three-pointers in the second quarter, Sonora's Evan Shannon finished the game with 14 points.
Wall (24-3, 8-0) will look to clinch a playoff spot this Friday when they host Grape Creek.
Sonora (10-12, 2-5) will travel to Reagan County this Friday.
